In a pivotal judgement, the Delhi High Court affirmed the age relaxation provision for contractual employees in Delhi Government recruitment processes. The verdict comes as a relief for numerous contractual employees aspiring for permanent positions in government departments.

Delhi High Court observed, "This initiative is a step towards ensuring equality and social justice for contractual employees," thus, acknowledging the necessity and the positive impact of such relaxations.

The appeal highlighted the disparity and the need for equal opportunities for contractual staff in comparison to the regular employees. The appellant pointed out the significant role that contractual employees play in the functioning of government departments and the lack of job security they face.
