The Kerala judge who gave writer Civic Chandran anticipatory release and noted that a sexual harassment case won’t prima facie stand if the woman was wearing a sexually suggestive clothing has now been replaced.

Tuesday saw the Kerala High Court issue an administrative order that saw Judge S Krishnakumar appointed Presiding Officer of the Labour Court in Kollam.

Three further judges have also been moved by the same administrative decision.

Civic Chandan is accused of making sexual approaches toward the writer who filed the complaint. In a camp that was gathered near Nandi beach, the accused is accused of attempting to offend the complainant’s modesty.

The accused then went to the court to request pre-arrest bail and presented specific images of the woman.

The judge in question then granted Chandran anticipatory bail on August 12 after expressing shock that a 74-year-old physically crippled man could compel the complainant to sit on his lap and press her butts. The complaint’s own attire was described as “sexually suggestive” by the judge.

The State administration filed a complaint with the High Court challenging the aforementioned order, claiming it was unlawful and lacked compassion.
